 Course Description

This course presents an overview of the "Information Highway." Topics covered will include Internet history, infrastructure, research tools and applications, and Internet futures.

 

Course Objective

By the end of this course, you will have...

  • An understanding of the nature of the Internet.
  • An understanding Internet tools and applications.
  • Be able to find information and resources available on the Internet.

 

Course Methodology

This course will be taught through a combination of slides, lecture, and hands-on practice.

During the semester, the class will make use of Internet tools to research selected term paper or project topics.
