Senior Applications Developer - I designed Excelerator
for Design Recovery and managed the development team. There are
two parts to the system - a mainframe-based extraction phase and a
PC-based analysis and display phase. The system is written in C. It
analyzes mainframe software systems including COBOL, CICS, IMS, and
JCL source code to derive the underlying system model, populates a
data repository, and creates graphic representations of the system.
The Gartner Group Newsletter called it "the only industrial-strength
design recovery tool" and "it stands head and shoulders above the
offerings from [competitors]". I coordinated third-party
co-developer. The product was delivered on time.
In addition, I was a member of the Excelerator SA/SD product data model
design team - the most comprehensive model for software development
components in the industry.
