Wang experience:
Senior Software Engineer - Co-designed, helped
implement and manage a project that provided automatic database
synchronization and a VS-level server for scheduled events and
remote requests. It was the first step to a true real-time,
Codd & Date compliant, query-and-update distributed database.
Competing products could not support distributed updates, and
this was a unique feature of this implementation.
Part of PACE (Wang's relational database manager).
Implemented in Wang assembler (very similar to IBM mainframe assembler),
COBOL, and C.
